A good read, it is not often we hear from the agents.
from Craig Custance of The Athletic,
...when we were rolling out our popular NHL player polls in January, it seemed natural to follow up with a group of questions to the people who represent those players. The hope was they’d provide some unique insight. And boy, did they deliver.
In all, 22 agents weighed in for our first anonymous NHL Player Agent Poll, with the totals and comments...
Which GM do you find most unreasonable to deal with?
“Bob Murray (Ducks). He likes to be prickly.”
“Bob Murray or Jeff Gorton (Rangers). Here’s the thing about Gorton, he only goes back when it’s on his terms. But Murray is the worst. He hates agents in general.”

“It’s kind of the same old song and dance,” Luke Glendening said.
This is their third streak of eight or more losses. At 12-38-4 and with 28 points, they are 15 points behind the next-worst team in the NHL. They are on pace for one of the three-worst seasons in franchise history....
“I was blessed to be around some great leaders my first couple of years here, and those are things that they instilled in us when we were young,” Glendening said. “The older guys here now are just trying to instill the same things, as difficult as it might be.
“Every time we think we’ve hit rock bottom we go a little further. We got to stick with it. I thought against the Rangers on Saturday (1-0 loss) we played well. But then we kind of went backwards tonight.”
from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,
Mired in another long losing streak, the Detroit Red Wings are trying to figure out how to move forward.
They have two days before their next game, Thursday at the Buffalo Sabres, to take a hard look at themselves. The Wings have lost 38 times through 54 games, most recently Monday at Little Caesars Arena, where a lackluster effort led to a 3-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
While the season is lost – a seven-game winning streak would still leave the Wings in 31st place in the NHL standings – good habits are vital to nurture.
Scott Wheeler of The Athletic lists Detroit's prospect pool at #9.

* Thirty-five-year-old Joe Pavelski registered his second multi-goal game of the season to lead the Stars past 18-year-old Kaapo Kakko and the Rangers.
