Will long-time Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane be on the move this season? What's the latest on David Pastrnak's future in Boston? Does an eight-year deal make sense for Michael Bunting and the Leafs? The TSN Hockey Insiders discuss these topics and more in the season premiere of Insider Trading.
Bunting was a borderline NHLer until he got put on a line with Matthews. You should NOT over commit/overpay for this type of player.
They have their value; and not just *anyone* can play such a role on a top line. But don't put yourself in a situation where you gotta have Matt Murray as your starter....
oh crap.
Kane and little Toe will be shipped out by the trade deadline.
CHI already gutted their team with players younger than them, why would you do that if you weren't actually trying to win anymore?
They are trying to tank and be the worst team. They're not even hiding it.
This unfortunately means they will have a better opportunity for a rebuild than detroit because of all the assets they've acquired and yet to acquire when they ship off those two.
It's too bad we didn't get Klingberg, that would have brought a great return at the deadline.
CHI and DET are in different stages and honestly eras of rebuilds so I don't think it's fair to say they have a better opportunity. That is, unless they get Connor Bedard.
I could see them holding onto Toews for at least a little bit of veteran presence and leadership. That plus he has no trade value at the moment. Kane is good as gone though.
