from Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News,
John Klingberg is back.
Sure, he returned Saturday night against Chicago after missing six games with a lower-body injury, but Klingberg followed that up Monday night against the Golden Knights with play that reminded the Stars of what they missed.
Klingberg had three assists during Monday night’s 4-2 win over Vegas, and now has four assists in his two games back from injury. Forward Alexander Radulov scored twice for the Stars, who have won seven games in a row. This ties a franchise record last achieved in 2008.
Their seven-game win streak is the longest active streak in the NHL. The Stars have a 12-game point streak and haven’t lost a game in regulation in 30 days. They also have gone 14-1-1 since Oct. 19 to erase a 1-7-1 start and climb two points behind St. Louis for the Central Division lead.
“The team is playing with a lot of confidence now,” Klingberg said. “I can really tell it’s a different team from now than when I got injured. It’s nice to be back, we’re rolling. We have good confidence and everyone is a big part of this.”
