Fantasy Feud is working with Kukla’s Korner to introduce you to 1-day fantasy hockey leagues. Try it free by joining the $100 Saturday Night Freeroll here. It’s time to get some practice under your belt before the first ‘Beat Paul Kukla’ challenge on Tuesday night.
How to Play
Once you setup a free account join the $100 NHL Brawl Freeroll. A freeroll is a free entry contest with a cash prize. You will then be drafting 10 players with a salary cap of 1 million fantasy dollars.
To help you stay under the cap here are a few value plays for Saturday night.
Saturday Night Value Plays
C – Juri Hudler – Calgary Flames - $75,761
Hudler has a tough matchup Saturday night against the Kings, but you have to ride his hot hand that has led the Flames in scoring in the last 3 games. Calgary has scored 4 goals in each of the last 3 games and Hudler has a point on half of those. With 6 assists and a plus 4 rating in his last 3 contests he provides great value at his price point.
D – Justin Faulk – Carolina Hurricanes - $52,677
Faulk has 3 points in his last 4 games and is getting his fair share of ice time. The Devils have had a tough time stopping anyone since Martin Brodeur went down with an injury a few weeks ago. Since losing Brodeur the Devils have allowed nearly 4 goals per game in their last 7 contests. There’s no reason to think that stops Saturday. Faulk is a great start with minimal risk on the blueline.
RW – Beau Bennett – Pittsburgh Penguins - $48,830
Bennett is back playing with the Penguins and he finds himself on a line with Malkin and Neal. He has 4 points in his last 5 games with the Penguins, a team averaging 5.3 goals per game in their last 3 starts. You can’t find a player with more upside than Bennett at his price point.
D – Kris Letang – Pittsburgh Penguins - $104,171
It’s a typical rule of thumb that a player has to have a price tab below $100,000 to be thought of as a value play in daily fantasy hockey. That rule does not apply to Letang who has 7 points in the last 3 games. The point man has been involved in 7 of Pittsburgh’s last 16 goals and should be priced $30,000 higher.
As mentioned, we will host a special Kukla’s Korner fantasy hockey contest on Tuesday night featuring Paul Kukla. Every reader of Kukla’s Korner that beats Paul will win a prize. You can signup to face Paul here. Get some practice in before Tuesday by joining the free entry $100 Saturday night contest now.
