Rangers Still Have Critical Home Games Against Conference Foes To Close Out Season

03/17/2016 at 6:00pm EDT

By Joe Sudberg,

The New York Rangers (39-23-7, 85 points) currently rank second in the Metropolitan Division, but New York will embark upon a difficult slate of home games as the Stanley Cup Playoffs approach. After returning home from a tough three-game road trip, New York will host the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins, and Pittsburgh Penguins in March before hosting the Buffalo Sabers, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders, and Detroit Red Wings in April. New York’s games against Florida, Boston, Pittsburgh, and the Islanders will be critical for playoff seeding. Fans traveling to these games can find great deal and locations for Madison Square Garden parking.

Ticket information for New York’s remaining home games in March and top home games in April is presented below.

3/21/16 Florida Panthers @ New York Rangers | Get-in: $85

The New York Rangers and Florida Panthers split their first two meetings in Florida. New York won a thrilling 5-4 game in overtime during November while dropping a decisive 3-0 decision to Florida in January. Rick Nash has scored three goals against Florida this season, so expect him to play with a lot of confidence. Panthers vs. Rangers tickets start at $85, which is slightly discounted from the original ticket price of $94.

3/23/16 Boston Bruins @ New York Rangers | Get-in: $109

The ‘rubber match’ between the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers will take place on March 23rd. Boston defended their home ice in November by securing a close 4-3 victory while New York won 2-1 at Madison Square Garden in January. This is a potential playoff series, expect emotions to run high in this contest. Bruins vs. Rangers tickets start at $109, which is nice discount from the original ticket price of $124.

3/27/16 Pittsburgh Penguins @ New York Rangers | Get-in: $133

New York will close out its slate of March home games with a tilt against Pittsburgh. These two teams do not like each other and the home crowd at Madison Square Garden loves to chant against Sidney Crosby and Co. This passion for this rivalry is directly reflected on the secondary ticket market. Penguins vs. Rangers tickets start at $133, which is the highest ticket price on New York’s home slate of games.

4/7/16 New York Islanders @ New York Rangers | Get-in: $141

With a win in this match-up, the Islanders will secure a season sweep over the Rangers. Expect a big effort from the Blue Shirts and boisterous response from their fans. To make things easier, the Rangers will not have to face off against goalie, Jaroslav Halak, who only allowed two goals in two games to the Rangers. This rivalry has renewed cross-borough interest in hockey again and that excitement is directly reflected on the secondary ticket market. Islanders vs. Rangers tickets start at $141, which is the highest price on the Rangers’ remaining home slate.

4/9/16 Detroit Red Wings @ New York Rangers | Get-in: $137

New York will close out its regular season slate of home games with a match-up against the Detroit Red Wings. These two Original Six teams play with a lot of passion, so expect a big effort from both teams. Red Wings vs. Rangers tickets start at $137, which is the second highest price on New York’s remaining home slate.
