BLUE JACKETS ERUPT FOR 10 GOALS IN SHUTOUT OF CANADIENS
The Blue Jackets set a franchise record with 10 goals to hand the Canadiens their first regulation loss of the season (9-1-1) and snap Montreal’s win streak at eight games.

* The Blue Jackets became the first team to score 10 goals in a regular-season game since March 30, 2011, when St. Louis posted a 10-3 victory at DET.

* Columbus also became the first team to post a shutout when scoring at least 10 goals since Jan. 2, 1996, when Calgary skated to a 10-0 win vs. TBL.

* Prior to Friday, the Blue Jackets’ record for goals in a game was eight, last achieved on Nov. 10, 2010 when they registered an 8-1 win vs. STL. That contest also set Columbus’ previous record for largest margin of victory.

* Montreal had allowed only 13 goals in their first 10 games of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
A closer look at Columbus’ offensive outburst:

* In total, 16 of 18 skaters recorded a point for the Blue Jackets including multi-point efforts by eight players: Alexander Wennberg (0-4—4), Josh Anderson (2-1—3), Nick Foligno (2-1—3), Cam Atkinson (2-0—2), Scott Hartnell (2-0—2), Seth Jones (1-1—2), Zach Werenski (0-2—2) and William Karlsson (0-2—2).

* Elias notes that the Blue Jackets became the first team to have four different players each score multiple goals in a game since the Flames on Feb. 10, 1993 vs. SJS (Robert Reichel: 3, Ronnie Stern: 3, Gary Suter: 2 and Gary Roberts: 2).

* The Blue Jackets went 4-for-5 on the power play to improve their League-leading average to 44% this season (11-for-25). It was the first time they scored four such goals in a game since Dec. 22, 2011 at NSH (4 PPG).

* Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to record his 15th career shutout. He shares the League lead with three shutouts this season (9 GP), matching his combined total from the past two campaigns (88 GP).

JETS STAGE ANOTHER RALLY
The Jets scored four times in the third period – including the tying and go-ahead goals by Brandon Tanev (his first two career goals) – to rally past the Red Wings and halt a three-game skid (0-2-1).

* The Jets, who tied the game three times, have overcome a deficit to earn at least a point four times this season. Winnipeg erased a three-goal deficit in the third period of the other three instances: Oct. 13 vs. CAR (trailed 4-1; 5-4 OT W), Oct. 19 (trailed 4-1; 5-4 OT W) and Nov. 3 (trailed 3-0; 4-3 OT L).
