* The Avalanche (22-8-2, 46 points) mounted their fifth straight comeback victory to extend their home winning streak to 12 games – the longest run by any team this season.

* MattGrzelcyk became the fifth different defenseman in Bruins history to record five or more points in a single game and the first in over 28 years.

* Tuesday will feature four of the NHL’s top-five scoring rookies when the puck drops for the Predators (23-11-2, 48 points), Red Wings (16-16-4, 36 points), Ducks (19-12-7, 45 points) and Sharks (19-16-1, 39 points).

AVALANCHE MOUNT FIFTH STRAIGHT COMEBACK WIN TO EXTEND HOME STREAK

Nazem Kadri (1-1—2) set a career mark as he found the score sheet in his 12th consecutive appearance (6-15—20) as the Avalanche (22-8-2, 46 points) mounted their fifth straight comeback victory to extend their home win streak to 12 games, surpassing the Panthers (11 GP) for the longest such run by a team this season. Colorado’s home-ice win percentage (.853) trails only Florida (.857) among all clubs in 2021-22.

* Kadri (13-33—46 in 29 GP) recorded his 15th multi-point outing of the season, which trails only Connor McDavid (18) and Alex Ovechkin (16) for the most among all players. He currently sits tied for fourth in NHL scoring – the lowest Kadri has ever ranked at the end of a season was tied for 21st in 2012-13.

GRZELYCK GUIDES BRUINS TO VICTORY WITH FIVE-POINT PERFORMANCE
After trailing 2-0, Matt Grzelcyk(1-4—5) factored on five of the Bruins’ seven goals – their most in a single game this season – and Brad Marchand (2-1—3) posted a multi-goal outing as Boston (19-11-2, 40 points) defeated Washington (20-8-9, 49 points) in their first matchup since the First Round of the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Bruins strengthened their grip on the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

* Grzelcyk became the fifth different defenseman in Bruins history to record five or more points in a contest and the first since Ray Bourque on Jan. 2, 1994 – just three days before Grzelcyk was born. He is also the first blueliner to register a five-point outing in 2021-22.

* Marchand recorded his 52nd career multi-goal game, the fifth most in franchise history behind Phil Esposito (104), Cam Neely (76), Johnny Bucyk (75) and Rick Middleton (63). Since he entered the NHL in 2009-10, only six active players have registered more such instances.

DID YOU KNOW?
Matt Grzelcyk’s father, John, worked as a member of the Boston Garden Bull Gang for over 50 years, the group that converts the arena between events. Matt, who grew up in Charlestown, Mass., first skated on the Bruins’ home ice at the old Boston Garden as a two-year-old, using a crate to keep his balance.

ROOKIES READY FOR TUESDAY SPOTLIGHT

Four of the NHL’s top-five scoring rookies will put their talents on display when the puck drops for the Predators (23-11-2, 48 points), Red Wings (16-16-4, 36 points), Ducks (19-12-7, 45 points) and Sharks (19-16-1, 39 points).

* With a game-winning goal in his last outing, Tanner Jeannot (11-11—22 in 36 GP) is set to take to the ice with the Western Conference-leading Predators. Signed as a free agent in 2018, Jeannot looks to become the fourth undrafted player in 50 years to conclude a season with the most goals among rookies, following Artermi Panarin (2015-16 w/ CHI), Tyler Johnson (2013-14 w/ TBL) and Matt Read (2011-12 w/ PHI).

* While Lucas Raymond (10-20—30) sits second in goals among rookies, he paces the cohort in points. Should he continue at this pace, Raymond can become the fifth Red Wings player in the NHL’s expansion era (since 1967-68) to conclude a campaign with the most points among rookies, following Henrik Zetterberg (22-22—44 in 2002-03), Sergei Fedorov (31-48—79 in 1990-91), Steve Yzerman (39-48—87 in 1983-84) and Marcel Dionne (28-49—77 in 1971-72).

* Trevor Zegras (9-18—27 in 32 GP) has collected three goals and five points in his past four games. Among players 20 or younger with the franchise, Zegras (20 years, 297 days) can require the second-fewest contests to reach the 10-goal mark in a season – Paul Kariya (23 GP in 1994-95) is the only skater to do so before his 40th game.

* Two of Jonathan Dahlen’s eight goals with San Jose in 2021-22 have been game winners (8-6—14 in 31 GP). Only two Sharks rookies in the last decade have had more than the 2020-21 HockeyAllsvenskan Most Valuable Player: Tomas Hertl (3 in 2013-14) and Andrew Desjardins (3 in 2011-12).

MILLER EYES 10TH STRAIGHT GAME WITH ASSIST FOR CANUCKS
J.T Miller (11-25—36 in 34 GP) and the Canucks (16-15-3, 35 points) travel to Florida to square off with Jonathan Huberdeau and the Panthers (23-7-5, 51 points). Miller, with at least one helper in each of his last nine games dating to Dec. 6, 2021, can join Dennis Kearns (11 GP in 1976-77) and Daniel Sedin (11 GP in 2009-10) as just the third player in Canucks history to record an assist streak of 10-plus games.
