THREE HARD LAPS

* Nathan MacKinnon factored on two of three Avalanche goals and became the 11th player in 2019-20 to collect multiple points in four consecutive games.

* Edmonton, Alta. native Tyler Ennis collected three points to help the Senators register their sixth straight win at Rogers Place.

* John Carlson scored twice, including the game-winning goal to eclipse the 100-goal mark and help the Capitals earn their second five-game win streak of the season (also: 6-0-0 from Oct. 25 - Nov. 9).


MacKINNON’S MULTI-POINT OUTING LIFTS AVALANCHE PAST MAPLE LEAFS
Nathan MacKinnon (1-1—2) factored on two of three Avalanche goals to register his fourth consecutive multi-point game and help Colorado (17-8-2, 36 points) improve to 8-1-1 in its last 10 contests at Scotiabank Arena dating to Oct. 18, 2006.

* MacKinnon extended his point and goal streaks to eight and five games, respectively. He sits one contest shy of matching the longest goal streak of his career (6 GP from Oct. 4-16, 2018). Only Chicago’s Patrick Kane has posted a longer such run this season (6 GP from Nov. 7-17).

* The 24-year-old forward has recorded multiple points in four straight games (dating to Nov. 27) for the third time in his career (also 6 GP in 2018-19 and 4 GP in 2017-18). He became the 11th player in 2019-20 to collect multiple points in four consecutive games and the second Avalanche skater (Andre Burakovsky: 4 GP from Nov. 14-21).



HOMETOWN ENNIS LEADS SENATORS OVER OILERS IN EDMONTON
Edmonton, Alta. native Tyler Ennis (1-2—3) was one of four Ottawa skaters with at least two points as the Senators improved to 10-1-0 in their last 11 games at Rogers Place, including wins in each of their last six visits.

* Ottawa's current run in Edmonton (dating to Nov. 13, 2014) is tied for the third longest road win streak against one opponent in franchise history (also 6-0-0 at WPG from Nov. 29, 2011 to March 30, 2016). The only longer such streaks: 8-0-0 at Florida (Jan. 26, 2001 to Dec. 5, 2005) and 7-0-0 at New York Rangers (Jan. 14, 2010 to April 5, 2014).

* The Bruins’ hold the NHL’s longest active road win streak against one opponent (9-0-0 at Arizona dating to Oct. 10, 2010).



CARLSON’S 100TH GOAL HELPS CAPITALS MOVE TO 3-0-0 ON ROAD TRIP
John Carlson scored twice, including the game-winning goal to eclipse the 100-goal mark and help the League-leading Capitals (21-4-5, 47 points) earn their second five-game win streak of the season (also: 6-0-0 from Oct. 25 - Nov. 9).

* Washington improved to 3-0-0 on its current four-game road trip and will face off against Anaheim Friday. The club has swept a road trip of four or more contests once in franchise history, going 4-0-0 from Feb. 9-16, 1993 (at MNS, at STL, at LAK, at SJS).

* Carlson (101-344—445 in 718 GP), with six multi-goal games on his resume, became the fifth defenseman in Capitals history to score at least 100 goals with the franchise, joining Sergei Gonchar (144-272—416 in 654 GP), Kevin Hatcher (149-277—426 in 685 GP), Mike Green (113-247—360 in 600 GP) and Calle Johansson (113-36—474 in 983 GP).

* Carlson (11-31—42 in 30 GP), who overtook Hurricanes defenseman Dougie Hamilton (10-18—28) for the League lead in goals by defensemen this season, trails only the latter for most among all blueliners since 2017-18.



PENGUINS RIDE EARLY GOAL TO VICTORY, EXTEND HOME STREAK
Teddy Blueger scored the first of three Pittsburgh goals 39 seconds into the contest as the Penguins extended their point streak at PPG Paints Arena to nine games (7-0-2 dating to Oct. 29), while halting the Blues’ road point streak at 10 contests (8-0-2).

* Blueger, a 25-year-old center from Riga, Latvia, became the seventh player in Penguins history to register a game-winning goal in the opening minute of a contest and first since Stephane Richer nearly 18 years ago.



* Pittsburgh (7-0-2) became the fifth team to collect at least a point in nine consecutive home games this season. The others: Boston^ (16 GP from Oct. 12 – Dec. 3), Philadelphia^ (11 GP from Oct. 21 – Dec. 3), the New York Islanders (11 GP from Oct. 12 – Nov. 30) and Minnesota^ (9 GP from Oct. 20 – Dec. 1).

PANARIN RETURNS TO COLUMBUS FOR FIRST TIME AS A RANGER
Artemi Panarin returns to Columbus for the first time since signing as an unrestricted free agent with the Rangers on July 1. Panarin recorded 55-114—169 in 160 regular-season appearances with the Blue Jackets from 2017-18 to 2018-19, while setting single-season franchise records for assists and points last season (28-59—87 in 79 GP).

* In the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Panarin notched 2-3—5 in an opening-round sweep of the Lightning to help Columbus secure the first series victory in franchise history and become the first team to sweep the Presidents’ Trophy winner in the opening round.

* In his first season in New York, Panarin leads all Rangers skaters and ranks tied for eighth in the NHL with 12-21—33 in 26 GP – ten points more than his next closest teammate (Ryan Strome: 6-17—23). Over the last 30 years, five Rangers have led the team in points in their first season with the franchise: Marian Gaborik in 2009-10, Nikolay Zherdev in 2008-09, Eric Lindros in 2001-02, Wayne Gretzky in 1996-97 and Mark Messier in 1991-92.
