“I think he can coach any kind of team from what I understand. He’s had all kinds of clubs. I mean if you coach 14, 16 years, whatever it was in Buffalo, you’re going to end up with different types of teams. He was successful there throughout his tenure. … A lot of people have been disappointed in some ways that perhaps the NHL has devolved into the clutch, grab, prison rules hockey league that it was prior trying to open things up and clean it up a little bit in terms of calling the actual rules in the rulebook. I think that being said, talent and speed and smart players is always going to be the hallmark of a successful club. It’s like Dolly Parton’s bra. His job is to round them up and point them in the right direction.”
