Perron is signed through the 2015-16 campaign and his contract has an average annual value of $3,812,500.

Perron, 26, has played the past two seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, appearing in a total of 116 games while registering 33 goals and 43 assists for 76 points. He established career highs with 28 goals and 57 points during the 2013-14 campaign. His 28 goals led all Edmonton players.

Perron was selected to represent Canada at the 2014 World Championship, but he missed the tournament due to injury.
