Wings Look Good According To Osgood

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood had the opportunity to analyze the team during his five-week absence with a strained groin.

He’s not afraid to say this year’s version reminds him of the Stanley Cup-winning team from 2007-08.

“This is the best I’ve seen us play since 2008,” Osgood said after Saturday night’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center. “The way we’re playing as a group—we’re playing smart hockey, we’re tough to play against. We were tired tonight and we still gave ourselves a chance to win the game.

“We’re going to win a lot of games playing like this.”
