Nice, Paul, you posted it before SportsNet! (realizing of course that Friedman and Dreger both work for SN…)

I am sure everyone involved is busy and Dreger is with TSN.

It’s so interesting how much the league has changed with these young players getting long term contracts so young.

7 mil is a lot for a 20 goal player though, if you ask me. They are definitely hoping he grows as he gets older.

Yep TK and don’t quote me but I think they bought a year of his UFA period by going 6 years.

Will be interesting to see now how other players think going forward, including a few of the Wings.

Bob McKenzie again,

That’s if my math is correct. That’s $6.77M in actual salary for the rest of this season plus a full $2M SB. That’s $8.77M. $9M total in year two. We’re up to $17.77M for two years, plus $24M for years three to six. I’ve got $41.77M for six years in dollars rec’d by Nylander.

Glad all the over hyped “drama” of this story is over.

Seems all of this ridiculous “negotiations” could have been settled a month ago.

So, I guess all that’s left is planning the parade route… sick  downer

Now it’s time to start the Nylander trade clock.
