He says he idolizes Datsyuk. You can sort of see a bit of that here. What an awesome goal, and easily one of the best of the year so far.

Mike Green put forth some serious Norris-caliber effort on that play.  Whew.

Who knew he was such a great defender?!

In fairness, the effort of Jeff Schultz was even worse.

Regardless of defensive ineptitude, it was a great effort by Burmistrov.

That made me laugh out loud, the way he just kept rolling along, right up to the net and flipped it in. Bada boom, bada bing—-he should always have such opportunities!

Even if you are down four goals and there’s almost no time left on the clock you really shouldn’t hang your goalie out to dry like that. Neuvrith was the only guy who put forth any sort of effort to stop that guy from Datsyuk-ing his way to a goal.

And yeah, well played Mike Green…yeesh.

That kid looked great on that goal. If he can do that consistently, it’d be great to see him in an ASG with Datsyuk on the wing.
