Two good guys, nobody hurt?
Staged fights have to go. That did nothing but hurt Thornton and possibly concuss him.
Thornton’s better than that. He can actually play and he should stick to playing hockey and fighting turds like Carcillo and Ott.
Scott has no place in the game.

Oh here we go with nonsense about how Thorton can actually play. This video posted elsewhere is garnering said reaction. Just stop… he is a goon. That is all. His numbers are padded (and they aren’t great, worse than both the guys you want him to stick to fighting) by being on a cup contender. He can’t play. He is a goon. Now, you might not think goons have a place in hockey and that is debatable but if you take them out, Thorton is going with them.

Well the Bruins built their own reputation. No wonder other teams try to send a message..

You can only protect players from themselves so much, especially when it comes to fighting like this. They were willing combatants. Thornton got punched in the ear repeatedly, that’s gonna hurt.

On the staged fights thing though, I do agree. It’s a waste of time. I want to watch hockey.
