via Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun,
The Senators lost their leading goal scorer 5:40 into the second period when Hoffman violently flew into the goal post after breaking to the net with a Mark Stone pass. Hoffman lost his helmet with the impact, but it appeared the his shoulder or collarbone took the brunt of the scary collision.
Hoffman suffered not one but two collarbone injuries in the 2012-13 season.
Coach Dave Cameron could provide no updates after the game, and with the Senators spending Tuesday on a flight to New Jersey, none are expected until Wednesday.
