NEW YORK (March 21, 2019) – Ottawa Senators forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been suspended for one game, without pay, for boarding Vancouver Canucks defenseman Ashton Sautner during NHL Game No. 1134 in Vancouver on Wednesday, March 20, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 16:23 of the second period. Pageau was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Pageau will forfeit $16,666.67. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund
