NEW YORK (April 11, 2022) – Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin has been suspended for four games, without pay, for cross-checking Nashville Predators defenseman Mark Borowiecki during NHL Game No. 1157 in Pittsburgh on Sunday, April 10, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

I think this is a stiff sentence, but because he has history - I can get it.  I felt he should have gotten 3.  Guess we won’t see Malkin in the Isles next two games (vs. Pens)  Only thing is that it will give the Pens something to rally around.

It’s a good start. Time that the stars of the game are held to the same rules as the rest of the league.
