HC Sierre star Arnaud Montandon and Tyler Higgins of SC Langenthal collided and the pair barreled into a side wall, forcing the gates to open, and fell into the cleaning ditch that was filled with freezing water.

The icy water by the side of the rink is used by the Zamboni to clear off the ice.

Both teams immediately paused the game and skated over to check on Montandon and Higgins. The duo had to sit in the frigid ditch as their teammates and officials tried to get them out.
