The part about the player not making any sudden moves prior to contact was directed at Wings fans still chafed over the Datsyuk concussion, methinks.

Typical.  They want to get rid of contact to the head, but they refuse to do anything substantial to make that happen.  Cowen’s done this twice inside of a month, but receives a slap on the wrist.  Same for Neal, who’s hit was about as predatory and intent filled as they come.

wow, I hadnt seen the video yet… 2 games?? For that ridiculously obvious intentional head-shot?
No wonder they dont care about beeing suspended..
