Old man not a fan of kids today, always on his lawn, with the rock and roll and long hair.

Why anyone cares what Brian Burke thinks about the state of the game is beyond me.  The guy is a decent general manager but no visionary. He singlehandedly set the league back several years by assembling his goon-squad Ducks team that won the Cup in 2007.  That team was the beneficiary of Chris Pronger’s wife demanding to leave Edmonton, so he was able to get Pronger for below value, and the beneficiary of Scott Neidermeyer wanting to play with his younger brother.  But for that win and a few decent Canucks teams (where he was the beneficiary of some good trades made prior to his arrival - Markus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi), Burke has never done anything of note in the league, except make idiot Toronto sportswriters use the term “truculence” for several years.

I hear he was also against condoms when he had intercourse with Hazel Mae.
BUUUURRRRRNNNN!!!

Great points by awould and Hank_Scorpio!
The fact that Burke is against this will probably help the argument to increase the size of the nets.

I tuned Burke out once he mentioned “the record books”.
