Video- A Four Goal Night For Andrew Copp

03/25/2021 at 8:41am EDT

from Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun,

One week ago, Andrew Copp was scoring at a snail’s pace, with one goal in his last 23 games.

Wednesday night in Vancouver, the Winnipeg Jets winger morphed into a sniper, scoring his first career NHL hat trick then going one further for a four-goal explosion in a 5-1 Jets win.

“I’m going to have a hard time remembering my last four-goal game,” Copp said, as he hit 10 goals on the season. “I don’t know if that’s ever happened before. So it’s a pretty cool experience.”

Copp scored twice on second-period power plays, once into an empty net and again with 2:26 to go as the Jets moved into a three-way tie with Edmonton and Toronto in the NHL’s North Division with 42 points.

The Jets have a game in hand on the Oilers, but have played one more than the Leafs.
