from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,
The Senators haven't closed the door on giving Todd Bertuzzi one last chance to resurrect his NHL career.
The final call will be made by GM Bryan Murray and if he gives the idea his stamp of approval then Bertuzzi could start practising with the club's AHL affiliate in Binghamton sometime next week.
Bertuzzi's Toronto-based agent Pat Morris reached out to the Senators recently to see if they had any interest in signing him to a 25-game pro tryout agreement. The club is exploring that option right now.
