Between his two goals and two assists, Hall moved the 93 points on the season and has the Devils one win away from a postseason berth.
Those 93 points are 42 points ahead of Nico Hischier, who ranks second on the Devils with 51 points. That gap is the largest among the top two scorers on an NHL team this season.
"There's lots of talk of him and Hart Trophy consideration and things like that," Hynes said. 'But I think when you look at the impact this guy has had on our team, on the organization and where we're at, it can't be close. He's played with two rookies, he's played with Kyle (Palmieri) when he's been up there. The consistency level he's played with throughout the year, driving our team, night in and night out throughout the year has been exceptional."
His four-point effort on Tuesday matched a season high, going back to when he posted four assists in a 5-4 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 19.
