The Latest On Jack Eichel

from TSN,

It appears there could be some movement on the  trade front.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that ongoing discussions and additional access to Eichel’s medical file has helped teams with trade interest clearly see his situation. He adds that both the Sabres and Eichel are hopeful a deal can be worked out soon with one of the interested teams.

Dreger said last week on Insider Trading that the Sabres were sharing Eichel's medical information with teams that have trade interest, noting the National Hockey League and the NHL Players’ Association had also been involved in the standoff between the two sides over how to treat the centre's neck injury.

I like Bucci ,but I take his info with a grain of salt. He is smoking his own supply, if sees a way this happens in Detroit. But, as previously stated, I lack the GM predisposition. Who knows, maybe Stevie bundles some cap space and Lil Bert, and becomes the pivot man in a deal moving Eichel to Edmonton, for McDavid and Draisaitl. A fellow can always dream! lol

I suspect he’ll go to the western conference whoever it is.  Rangers are always in every mix though.  I feel like he’d do best somewhere there are good strong veterans around him.  He’s a classic example of how it can go sideways putting too much pressure on a young guy to drive the bus.

Despite all the warnings, I would not be upset with Yzerman pulling the trigger on Eichel deal. I just trust the guy to make the right call.
