from Eric Stephens of the OC Register,
It doesn’t matter what type of team you put on the ice against the Vegas Golden Knights. A good team or a bad team. An injury-wracked team or a team that’s just about complete.
All of them find a way to lose to a determined first-year expansion group that continues to lead the Pacific Division.
Vegas spotted the Ducks a first-period goal and then systematically got its offense going while cashing in its chances for a fifth straight victory, a 4-1 decision Wednesday night at Honda Center as a season-high overflow crowd of 17,444 watched the NHL’s most improbable story continue to play itself out.
“It’s a long season,” Golden Knights center William Karlsson said. “But I feel confident. I think the whole team feels confident too. We’re just going to try to win more games and see where it ends up.”
