from Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun,
So, yeah, retired star Teemu Selanne has an opinion on the NHL's decision not to take part next year in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
It's sad, short-sighted and bad for hockey, he said.
“It makes me sad,” Selanne, in Winnipeg for a speaking engagement, Wednesday, told the Winnipeg Sun. “I had a chance to play six Olympics, and I know it's every player's dream, too. Hopefully they're going to still change their minds.
“Because you can't always think about how it's going to benefit the market. There's a bigger picture about going to the Olympics. And I really hope they're going to change their mind and be part of it because it's a great experience for everybody.”
