Surprised by that one. I figured with his play last season hed find term, no problem.

Wonder if he’s still struggling with the dreaded “off ice issues”.

Islanders offered 5 million for 2 years ...

Hate to see the ‘Hawks getting better.
Would have loved to see Lehner in Carolina.

I think he was asking for five years, and as good as he was last season, nobody was going to give him anything close to that.

That’s what, $11 mil in goalies for Chicago?

Wonder if they are pretty much planning that Crawford won’t be playing.

Andrew Gross tweet,

New Blackhawks G Robin Lehner said he never turned down a deal: “It not working out on Long Island had nothing to do with me.”
Said there were rumors he walked away from a deal. “I never walked away from anything.”

Really smart opportunistic deal by Chicago without committing too much.

They need to take another shot or two while the star forwards are still close to their prime.

Cleared space enough to make some quietly solid improvements in their defense game.

But people wondered: what happens if Crawford takes one last bad bump?

Now they have two good options in goal and are looking serious about getting back into the playoffs.
