Bryan Murray is ready to sign on the dotted line.
League executives told the Ottawa Sun late Friday Murray has agreed to a wide-ranging long-term extension that will keep him in the GM’s chair for at least another two years and a significant role with the organization after that.
It’s believed the deal will be confirmed Monday when all the paperwork is completed. This news comes less than 24 hours after assistant GM Tim Murray accepted the GM’s job with the Buffalo Sabres and ensures stability in the organization.
Murray has helped the club shape a successful rebuild and hired coach Paul MacLean to get the club back to respectability.
