Open Post- Day 13 Of The Stanley Cup Playoffs

3 game 7's today.  That's all you need to know.

Enjoy!

Below find some Game 7 tidbits

via the NHL PR department

The “Mayhem” theme of the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs reaches a crescendo this weekend when the highest-scoring opening round in 27 years (6.65 G/GP) concludes with five Game 7s over a two-day span starting with a tripleheader on Saturday.

* Saturday will mark the first time in eight years, and sixth time overall, that three or more Game 7s will be contested on the same day. The others: May 1, 1992 (4), April 30, 2014 (3), April 22, 2003 (3), April 29, 1997 (3) and May 19, 1995 (3).

* The five Game 7s in the 2022 First Round are the second-highest total in a single round in NHL history, trailing only the 1992 Division Semifinals (6).

* There will be multiple Game 7s on consecutive days for the first time in 11 years (April 26-27, 2011).

* Eight of the past 10 Stanley Cup champions have won at least one Game 7.

* The weekend will conclude with 51 total games in the First Round, tied with the 1991 Division Semifinals (51) for the second most in a round trailing only the 1991 Division Semifinals (54).

Lightning look totally gassed like a bunch of 50 year olds against young whippersnappers. Vasilevski trying to hold on.
Toronto pp on a crappy call

The leafs are falling in spring just like my neighbors magnolia tree.
Florida should have an easier series against this totally gassed lightning team.

+19 Dawg. Leafs have the attitude like they are owed to win and not want to earn it. They won’t succeed until they learn that valuable lesson

Lol, very poetic CG.

She can dance a Cajun rhythm
Jump like a Willys in four wheel drive
She’s a summer love in the spring, fall and winter
She can make happy any man alive

Continuing with the Dead theme - the Lightning are going to leave that Brokedown Palace (in Toronto) on their hands and their knees - they will roll, roll, roll…..Fare you well Maple Leafs!

2 entertaining Game 7’s so far.  It reminded me of Game 7 that the Lightning beat the Isles last year in a 1-0 final score.  Tampa played a great game of ‘rope a dope’ and showed the world how to close out a game.  # 88 reminds me of Martin Brodeur.

Lots of joy here, and this was not a choke job by Toronto this time.  They played very well.  How sad for them that they drew Tampa in Round 1.  No Goodrow or Blake Coleman this time….but the role players won this game for them.

Now go PANTHERS (now that the Lightning have served their purpose)

Hey Kas,

The game seven’s have not disappointed. I picked the Bruins in seven because of their experience and I did not trust Carolina’s goaltending. Carolina’s goaltending was just fine and won the series for them. Playoff hockey.

This goal is just an absolute beauty. https://mobile.twitter.com/bradytrett/status/1525660567909699585

Today each of my teams won game 7. I doubt that’s ever happened before, but I can go to sleep happy.
