No More Controversy For Patrick Kane

from Dan Herbeck and Lou Michel of the Buffalo News,

Patrick Kane’s attorney says the Blackhawks hockey star learned some painful lessons during his three-month ordeal as the subject of a rape investigation.

And Paul J. Cambria Jr. predicts that Kane will not get in such a situation again.

“Even though the investigation showed that Patrick did nothing wrong, he knows he put himself into a situation where someone could make a claim against him,” Cambria told The Buffalo News. “He’s a good kid from a strong family. He’s very close to his two sisters and his parents. He would never put them through something like this again.

“Going forward, I don’t think we’re ever going to see him as the subject of a controversy like this, ever again,” the defense lawyer added.

Wait. I thought they weren’t going to press charges and the accuser is not cooperating with the investigation. I never heard the investigation showed that nothing happened and I CERTAINLY never heard he did nothing wrong. I have no problems believing he did something wrong as his past behavior is sociopathic as he doesn’t seem to believe rules apply to him. He’s not a nice wholesome boy who would never get into trouble. That pretty much flew out the window with a drunken assault of a cabbie for $.20. And I’m not going to believe he’s learned his lesson until he doesn’t do anything like this again. Ever.

If I had 20 cents for every time I heard Kane has grown up and learned his lessons as a professional hockey player (in other words ignoring all those transgressions as an amateur in Ann Arbor):

from the:
—Buffalo cab incident,
—Van limo incident,
—Las Vegas awards incident,
—Madison Wis frat Cinco De Mayo day incidents,
—Chicago Victory Parade drunkenness incident, or
—Buffalo rape allegation

Lets just say I’d use that money to play a bet on the over/under on the next one at under 1.5 seasons.
