I know aim probably in the minority but if this was Ras I’d be happy he’s playing hard. I saw it the way the announcers did. Glenn sees danger and tries to adjust last minute but Zadorov didn’t change posture or course. He was a meteor coming in for impact. And I think he’s a borderline player but I don’t feel like this was a borderline play. Kronwall had a few of these too. Loved them then.

Meh…any team that employs Jaime Benn can live and die by the sword.

That was elbow to head as primary point of contact
and it’s easy to see Zadorov went in aiming to do that
The league will still tie itself in knots making up
ad hoc situational excuses not tailored to the actual play
but seemingly to what result they prefer given the teams involved
within a certain context.
It just reads like even now in 2022 they will invent reasons to
justify clearly intentional, avoidable, predatory head shots.
One thing I respect about Kronner among a few is it clearly bothered him
he was often effectively following through up into an opponent’s chin when he’d explode into a hit, even if it wasn’t the intent. He began leaving his feet less and delivering a more compact lower version of those hits. Some guys would keep jumping up, others would stop hitting as much, Kronner found a cleaner less dangerous way to do it, while still flattening opponents.
