from Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News,
Todd McLellan remains the coach of the Sharks, saying Wednesday that he and the organization need more time to decide the next course of action after the team missed the NHL playoffs for the first time since 2003.
McLellan, who has become the winningest coach in franchise history over the last seven seasons, said a decision on his future with the team will probably be made before he leaves April 24 to coach Team Canada at the IIHF World Championship in Prague, Czech Republic.
"The answers you guys are looking for today, I'm not going to be able to give them to you," McLellan said. "I need a little more time, I'm sure the organization needs a little bit more time."

Why go to SJ if you’re Babcock? Same questions on defense - way worse situation in goal. Two anchor deals in Marleau and Thornton (can’t move them, Marleau’s game on the sharp decline) that restrict the ability to maneuver. The prospect depth isn’t what Detroit has - and besides Mueller and Hertl, no young roster guys looking like stars or anything close.
I don’t see SJ as a Babcock destination and I don’t see his situation playing any role in the SJ situation. I think the more important part of the stall here is the status of Wilson. McLellan will see what happens with Wilson - if Wilson’s back, then McLellan will evaluate what Wilson plans to change and then decide.

I don’t think he’ll go there either. But they will still make a push for him for sure.

Don’t forget the Kings might not have a coach neither. They got the kind of team Babcock really, really likes.

Preds had a breakaway chance. The Preds forward with the puck was hauled down RIGHT IN FRONT of the ref and no call was made.
Unfuchingbelievable. NHL refs suck total ass.
