THREE HARD LAPS

* J.T. Compher scored the first hat trick of his NHL career and Philipp Grubauerturned aside all 18 shots he faced as the Avalanche, who improved to 15-0-1 in their last 16 games at Ball Arena, clinched home-ice advantage for the First Round where they will face either the Wild or Blues. If Colorado defeats Los Angeles in any fashion tonight, it will claim the Presidents’ Trophy and Honda West Division crown while simultaneously finalizing the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket.

* Marc-Andre Fleury (36 GP) and Robin Lehner (19 GP) combined to win the William M. Jennings Trophy as the Golden Knights allowed a League-low 124 goals against this season, four fewer than the Islanders (128).

* Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl had multiple points again as the Oilers defeated the Canadiens in their penultimate game of the regular season. Edmonton contests its finale versus Vancouver on Saturday before facing Winnipeg in the First Round.

PRESIDENTS' TROPHY WINNER, PLAYOFF BRACKET TO BE DECIDED TONIGHT
The Avalanche (38-13-4, 80 points) will clinch their third Presidents’ Trophy and the No. 1 seed in their division for the 12th time in franchise history if they defeat the Kings in any fashion tonight at Ball Arena. A Colorado win would also finalize the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket, confirming First Round showdowns between the Avalanche and Blues as well as the Golden Knights and Wild.

VEGAS TANDEM OF FLEURY, LEHNER WIN WILLIAM M. JENNINGS TROPHY
Marc-Andre Fleury, who turned aside all 19 shots he faced on Wednesday, and teammate Robin Lehner combined to win the William M. Jennings Trophy as the goaltenders who played for the team allowing the fewest goals this season.

* Fleury, who earned his 67th career shutout to surpass Patrick Roy (66) and tie Roy Worters for 14th place on the NHL's all-time list, became the first goaltender in League history to claim his first individual NHL Award in his 17th season or later.

* Lehner, who won the award with the Islanders in 2018-19, became the seventh goaltender to claim the honor with multiple clubs (also Ed Belfour, Manny Fernandez, Jaroslav Halak, Dominik Hasek, Roy & Roman Turek).

DUO HAS MULTIPLE POINTS AGAIN AS OILERS WIN FINAL ROAD GAME OF 2020-21
Connor McDavid (0-2—2) and Leon Draisaitl (1-1—2) each had multi-point games as the Oilers extended their road winning streak to seven contests, which will stand as the longest in the NHL this season. McDavid (33-71—104 in 55 GP), who eclipsed the 70-assist mark, and Draisaitl (31-52—83 in 55 GP) have recorded multiple points in each of Edmonton’s last seven games dating to May 1 (McDavid: 5-15—20; Draisaitl: 7-9—16).
