"We felt we had a good thing going.  I think everybody thought we were going to go a long way, but it seemed like we didn't find that extra step for the playoffs. Detroit was just a little better than us. It's depressing. It makes you feel sad."

-Jonas Hiller, goaltender for the Anaheim Ducks after losing 3-2 to Detroit last night.  More on the game from the CP at TSN.

This year is payback for 2007.
Babcock coached Anaheim then, and he coaches Detroit now.

Ducks fans should be happy. They got to see the best player in the world - #13 - play 4 times.

So nice to see Perry go goalless.

On to Chicago!

w2j2, did you mean 2003? That’s when the Wings played the Babcock-coached Ducks.

Great series…... tough play from both teams.

Having said that, Hiller could have been a whole lot tougher in my opinion. I don’t recall that many “holy monkey nuts” saves on his part. Jimmy….... yeah, he was all monkey nuts.

I see the makings of another masterpiece from the Master Chief right there. smile
