Markus Näslund Heads To Hall of Fame

04/21/2014 at 4:17pm EDT

News out of Sweden is that retired Swedish NHL legend Markus Näslund has been elected to the Swedish Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.

Admittedly my Swedish is a bit rusty as I have not used it as much the last few seasons but it looks as though Markus Näslund, Eje Lindström, Ulf Dahlén and Jonas Bergqvis were elected by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

You can read the Swedish Release here.

Näslund was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins 16th overall in 1991 and played the majority of his career with the Vancouver Canucks before finishing his NHL career with the New York Rangers in the 2008-2009 season.
