Leafs Lose The Fight But Win The Game

Deryk Engelland of the Penguins with a right hand that knocks Colton Orr of the Leafs down to the ice.

I don’t believe Orr played again after the punch.

No, Orr did not come back.  I still don’t know how the Pens came out with the lead in the first.  The second started out better, then a Tangradi penalty that I still didn’t see a replay of the infraction and a Cooke penalty for Cooke getting smacked around.  Two faceoffs changed the game.

The D-zone coverage was horrible tonight.  Hopefully at least Orpik gets back soon.  Likewise, if I see one more damned drop pass I’m going to break something.

Agreed PFiB! Sloppy, uninspired play all around by the Pens so far this year. Maybe they’ll get it through their heads that they can’t play 40 mins of ice dancing, only to allow Malkin and Crosby to be paired up and win every game in the third. So far, that hasn’t worked out this season like it has in the past couple.

I think Orr thought he had the fight won.. lol He won’t make that mistake again.  That was one helluva punch square in the face… ha ha

Monster was pretty bad in that first period, that’s how the Pens had the lead.

Defensive zone coverage was bad for both teams - both teams had more than one guy alone in front of the net on a few occasions, too many turnovers too.

Glad my team got the win, felt like the Pens had a comeback brewing there.  Jonas made some solid stops in the 3rd to preserve, but that punch Orr took was pretty good.
