LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have acquired a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft (previously acquired from Calgary) from Montreal in exchange for forward Nate Thompson and a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft (previously acquired from Chicago in exchange for the rights to Dominik Kubalik), Kings Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake announced today.
Thompson has appeared in 53 games with the Kings this season, posting six points (4-2=6), a plus-3 rating and 17 penalty minutes. Acquired from Ottawa last season along with Dion Phaneuf, the Anchorage, Alaska native has appeared in 79 regular-season games with the Kings, recording 12 points (5-7=12), a plus-2 rating and 27 penalty minutes.
