The New York Islanders announced today that Josh Bailey has agreed to terms on a five-year deal.
Bailey, 23, scored 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) in 38 games this past season with the Islanders. The Bowmanville, ON, native also made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut, recording three assists in six games during the Islanders’ Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
“Josh has become an important member of the young core of the players we have in our dressing room,” Islanders General Manager Garth Snow said. “We’re excited to come to terms with him on a deal that will ensure he is a member of this team as we solidify ourselves as consistent playoff contenders.”
