TSN reports Sergei Gonchar has signed with Ottawa.

Veteran defenceman Sergei Gonchar has signed a three-year contract with the Ottawa Senators worth $5.5 million per year.
The contract also includes a no-trade clause.

Ottawa has been looking for an Elite offensive powerplay quarterback who can still play defence for years - basically since the strange and sudden decline of Wade Redden.
If Gonchar is healthy, he’ll fit the bill - and hopefully will also serve as a mentor for guys like Erik Karlsson and the recently acquired David Rundblad.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Filip Kuba or Chris Campoli are shopped actively now.
