“This will be my final season and now everybody knows and I can enjoy every day. We have a really good team here in Anaheim and we have all the tools to go all the way. I want to be part of that. He (Bruce Boudreau) was very open with me and I wanted to know how I would fit in his roster and he said I’d be the same player as before and he was expecting a lot from me. That was the final thing I wanted to hear. I didn’t get any promises (ice-time). I know the coach can’t do that…it’s a good competition (with some kids), and everybody has earn the ice and the powerplay. I can do it. I just wanted to be on the same page as the coach.”
-Teemu Selanne on a tele-conference after announcing he would return to the Ducks for one more year. Much more from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal.
