Dustin Byfuglien Fined For A Slash

NEW YORK (Dec. 28, 2018) – Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien has been fined $2,500 for slashing Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau during NHL Game No. 574 in Winnipeg on Thursday, Dec. 27, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 17:51 of the third period. Byfuglien was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
