Dr. Lanny McDonald

From Allan Maki at the Globe & Mail hockey blog,

imageLanny McDonald graduated Tuesday.

After a lengthy and productive NHL career, and another as a businessman and Special Olympics advocate, McDonald took part in the University of Calgary 2008 convocation exercise and received an honorary doctor of laws degree.

Technically, that makes the former Calgary Flames’ forward Dr. Lanny King McDonald. But to hockey fans he’ll always be the guy with the Yosemite Sam mustache who won the Stanley Cup in his final NHL game.
