from Joe Haggerty of CSNNE,
David Krejci has missed three of the last four games and six games on the season with a lower body injury that’s believed to be related to his hip. We found out on Tuesday that he'll miss the next two games, too.
Krejci played last week in one game against the Edmonton Oilers and topped 16 minutes of ice time, but admitted after the game that he was “sore”, and hasn’t been seen on the ice since.
Krejci was again missing from practice at Ristuccia Arena on Tuesday morning, and Chris Kelly will continue to center the forward line between rugged left winger and promising rookie right winger Seth Griffith. Interestingly enough Claude Julien addressed the mounting reports that it is a hip injury bedeviling Krejci, and intimated that speculation is “wrong.”
“He’s not going to make the trip, so he’s definitely out for the next two,” said Claude Julien of upcoming back-to-back road games against the Maple Leafs and Canadiens. “I’m not going to comment on it. There’s a lot of speculation out there, and I’m going to say that the speculations are wrong.”
Whatever the mystery injury is that the Bruins refuse to discuss, it would appear that they made a mistake playing him last Thursday against the Oilers rather than giving him roughly 10 days of rest entering this week.
