Did Don just do the Carlos Mencia “Dee-de-dee-dee-deee…” at the beginning?

Anyways, tell us how you really feel Don.  For once, Don’s right.  Call out a coward for being a coward.  Carcillo is a joke.  Players like he and Tootoo represent everything that is WRONG with the league, and those are two “good ol’ Canadian boys” we’re talking about right there…

I bet he wouldn’t call out Thornton for the same thing for going after Lidstrom, then Zetterberg, then Lidstrom again all in the same play stoppage, yet wanting nothing to do with an angry Johan Franzen.

Not that there aren’t arguments both ways, Paul, but fwiw, Carcillo was being lauded here in Philly for showing restraint and not responding to Orr. In this particular game, Orr went slightly beserk and wound up really hurting his team. This was when the Flyers were desperately trying to make the playoffs, and the Flyers did score on a resulting PP.

Guys like Carcillo, and Orr, are often in a no-win position. If they respond or initiate at the wrong time in a game, they are called selfish. If they show restraint, as in this case, they are said to be like Darcy Tucker or Matt Cooke, guys who “pick their shots and their opponents”.

It’s a fine line, and one man’s warrior is another man’s fool.

I think it’s about to rain frogs and locusts, because I fully agree with Don Cherry. I need a shower after that confession.
