Totally unsurprising. He sat around since July 1st and nobody was signing him. It’s clear nobody thinks he’s worth what HE thinks he’s worth in this Cap Age.
He can go to the KHL and have fun there, and then some day look back and think “F**, I blew it”...

Even with an out in his contract, I don’t think that any NHL team would offer him close to $6M per year.
