“It’s like a stab right in your heart, it’s tough to take… it pisses me off. But I can’t let that get to my head. You’ve got to just move on.”

-Jordin Tootoo of the Nashville Predators on being a healthy scratch last night.  More from Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun.

How relevant were you in the first place, Whistle boy?

Jordin, what I really think you should do is bitch about this loudly, in public and in the locker room, and cause a massive row in the ranks of the Predators players.  I mean, who’s this punk Radulov, coming to steal your job and ride your coattails to playoff success?  You’d better stand up and put a stop to this, even at the cost of tanking your season into a seven-game losing streak.

What?  My motives?  I just have your best interests at heart, sir. wink

Hmmm, I wonder why all of a sudden a RW whose played all season long and has actually had a pretty good season finds himself a healthy scratch?  The Preds have always suceeded because of good team chemistry making them greater than the sum of their parts.  I sense an unbalance in the force, shame really…
