“Tim Panaccio thinks I’m moody and withdrawn with him. Maybe because he writes articles that are no where close to being true.”

Panaccio is a jerk. There was an episode of the afternoon talk show on CSN Philly where he, I think it was Ed Moran, and Rich Hoffman were all on discussing the Flyers and they had to have Hoffman sit between him and Moran to prevent fisticuffs. It’s also widely believed he’s the one feeding Dwayne his “rumors”.

I don’t the players in this scuffle but this is why twitter is great. There’s almost zero chance the Flyers PR guy would allow this to slip out at a presser, but Twitter makes it impossible for him to be everywhere all the time. It’s good to see someone holding a reporter’s feet to the fire for (perceived) inaccuracies.

Much as I loathe to defend Mike Richards, Panaccio must be a jerk. Richards is not the only player who doesn’t like talking to him. Nik Zherdev famously proclaimed he would give interviews to every reporter other than him.
