It's believed Ott/Col/Nash were in discussions on 3 way trade involving Matt Duchene going to Sens. Talks have ended. No deal.
Sources say Senators GM has been pursuing Duchene since mid-September and discussions heated up in last couple of weeks.
from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,
The Ottawa Senators made another push to get Matt Duchene as recently as Friday but the deal fell through.
League sources confirmed Saturday the Senators attempted to work a three-way deal with the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche in attempt to acquire Duchene but in the end the deal trade fell apart because not everybody involved was satisfied.
Under this scenario, it’s not known exactly what the Avalanche would have gotten in return from the Senators, but it’s believed the deal would have sent centre Kyle Turris, who is set to become a unrestricted free agent, to the Predators while the Senators would have landed Duchene who they’ve coveted for nearly two years.
