BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Tuesday, October 14, that the club has signed forward Simon Gagne to a one-year, one-way contract worth a cap figure of $600,000. The club has also waived forward Bobby Robins for purpose of assignment to Providence and assigned forward Jordan Caron to Providence.
In his 13 seasons playing in the NHL, Gagne has scored a total of 288 goals with 309 assists for 597 points and a career plus-129 rating in 799 games.
The 34-year-old most recently played with the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2012-13 season where he skated in 27 games and tallied five goals and six assists.
