A Four Goal Night For Blake Wheeler

03/04/2019 at 9:03am EST

from Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun,

Wheeler hadn’t produced a four-goal game since he was in Grade 11 at Breck High School in Minnesota.

“You want to contribute. That’s the biggest thing. I think that’s the goal for our line every night, to contribute in such fashion. Obviously the score sheet is part of our job,” said Wheeler, who is riding a six-game point streak and is up to 17 goals and 80 points in 65 games this season. “We pride ourselves on all the little details in the game. So that’s the rewarding part, making an impact, trying to get the good feeling in this room, continuing on this road trip. Some great games by the guys I’m playing with.”
